My kindergarten: The farm

Children love being outdoors. They discover and learn about the world around them with all their senses. And, if animals are involved, children rejoice completely. All these elements have been combined in a farm-kindergarten, where children not only learn to be responsible, but also watch animals and plants develop. And, permanent contact with nature strengthens the immune system and prevents future allergies.

This type of kindergarten is mostly on a farm with animals, which have to looked after by the children. Ponies have to cleaned after riding, pigs have to be fed  and apples have to plucked from the trees before baking in the pie. Animals also help boys and girls in opening up to their environment and in establishing social ties. Especially, the integration children with disabilities is being fostered immensely.

The model of the farm-kindergarten is becoming increasingly popular and more and more sophisticated portals and presentations are being created for exchanging experiences. You can find information and contact data in the Internet, where you will also find details regarding prices and terms. How important is it for you that children have contact to farming, nature and animals? Is maybe one of your kids attending such a kindergarten? Let us know your views!
